Amazónico is an exuberant restaurant, a journey through an enigmatic jungle whose design breathes Brazilian essence. The woods, the fabrics with wild motifs, the lianas hanging from the ceiling and the climbers that adorn the walls, all enhanced by a careful illumination, define a new spatial concept where interior and exterior merge to perfection.
A staging where the lighting is the great ally. From Light & Studio we focused on creating a concept of lighting that reinforces the jungle garden that had made interior designer Lázaro Rosa Violán, with which we have worked hand in hand in this project. In this way we managed to highlight concrete parts of the architecture in order to create a different place, with its own essence.
The atmosphere of the place immerses us little by little in the reality of the Amazon thanks to lighting in warm tones. Amazónico makes all the senses are involved in an exquisite way: the environment, the letter, the service, the dishes, the lighting, the music...
Our lighting designer, Nando Poyán and Fran Gómez, know this well and tell us that it turns out to be "a wild gastronomic experience in the evening of the Amazon". "Wild because when you enter the place is like walking through the jungle, and in the Show Cooking you can always see meat and fish cooking in the fire, as do the savages in the jungle. And sunset by the orange colors of the sun fall, the stars that begin to glimpse between the leaves of the trees and the fire on."
As soon as you enter the premises, the visitor enters a refreshing and enigmatic jungle. At the entrance, an elegant peacock decorates a circular bar filled with exotic fruits. In this bar, where a bartender prepares samba-like cocktails, Light & Studio has installed amber-colored beacons and 2.200K LED strip backlight that provide maximum warmth.
In the glazed kitchen situated along the corridor, an impressive grill with a range of succulent roasts unfolds. This zone has been backlit with super warm LED strip. Inside, many chefs work at breakneck speed thanks to LED lighting with a high chromatic reproduction that allows them to perform tasks quickly and safely.
The Japanese bar continues with the warm tones, this space also incorporates a 2.200K LED strip. In the ceiling have been embedded lamps Soraa of 10º of opening and projectors to lane to illuminate the piece in suspension.
In the dining room, suspended screens with two lamps, specially designed for this space, illuminate the tables and the perimeter of the same. The LED filament lamp illuminates the inside of the display and the Soraa PAR16 10º lamp with warm temperature highlights the center of the table.
The effect of "starry sky" on the roof has been achieved by embedding small LED points with different color temperatures, which, through a regulation system, provide a feeling of proximity and distance when being independently controlled.
The aesthetics of toilets are increasingly taken care of, and for Amazonian, warm backlighting on Tubino ceilings and fixtures has been used in the mirrors of 2700K.
And do not miss the Jazz Club, located on the ground floor of the restaurant.
Its ambitious programming welcomes us and we can say that it has been positioned as the place to see and be seen in Madrid. Its owners seek to offer an exclusive experience, in an intimate atmosphere reminiscent of the mythical New York Blue Note Room. At the technical level, it has backlit ceilings and recessed niches with built-in micro LEDs.
Now you just have to enjoy it in person. Amazonian is waiting for you in Jorge Juan Street, 20.
