Gonzalín “bar, plain and simple" is located in the traditional neighborhood of Chamberí. One of the strengths of this place is the perfect mix of “conventional” Spanish bar and French tavern. Juan Luis Medina from Madrid In Love, Luis Puerta and Estefania Carrero, are the creators of this great project. A work which result captivates us by its plasticity, as it meets the needs of the eldest people in the area -who´ll enjoy its traditional breakfast- as well as the lively after-works of the younger ones.

The key to all of this? A warm and comfortable lighting that allows to create cozy spaces without sacrificing the possibility to read the newspaper or to enjoy reading a book. Vintage style luminaires, custom-made and manufactured in Madrid, have been especially designed for this project, by taking into account the very same light level and material finishings that were used in the 20´s bistros. Rails with LED projectors run throughout the bar maintaining the appropriate level of light over each table and over every single decorative element.
