Lighting for an Immersive Experience
Lefties embraces a futuristic, technology-driven aesthetic where the store becomes an experiential space in its own right. Lighting plays an active role in this narrative, accompanying customers from the moment they enter and enhancing their perception of the environment throughout their journey.
At Light & Studio, we developed a comprehensive lighting proposal in which every technical element is designed to improve the user experience. The sales area is structured through a grid of technical lighting that provides rhythm and visual order across the entire space. The color temperature—carefully selected by the brand—reinforces its aesthetic identity while ensuring optimal product visibility. This system is highly adaptable, responding effectively to the store’s fast-paced collection rotation, which changes almost weekly..
The main aisles are accentuated with suspended light lines that intuitively guide customers through the store, creating a clear and fluid path toward different zones. Along the perimeter, continuous linear lighting frames the architecture and adds visual depth, highlighting the displayed products.
For the fitting rooms, we designed a custom luminaire with a contemporary-industrial aesthetic, equipped with presence detection. This solution adjusts its intensity automatically, enhancing energy efficiency and creating a more comfortable, welcoming atmosphere for trying on garments.
The returns area—now essential due to the rise of online shopping—was also addressed with suspended tubular luminaires that maintain the same visual and technical language as the rest of the space.
Each lighting decision was tailored to reinforce a recognisable, adaptable brand identity. An alighting scheme that not only illuminates, but builds experience, memory, and emotional connection.
