The light that moves with the Groove
The project is based on a reinterpretation of the aesthetic language associated with the musical culture of the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. In dialogue with the architecture developed by Proyecto Singular, we return to classic cocktails such as Negronis and Cosmopolitans, and to the atmosphere that surrounds vinyl records, jam sessions, and jazz. A perfect after-work experience, a true “get into the groove”.
Luminaires that create identity
The design of a custom lighting collection that defines the identity of the space has been a key element in the development of the project. The luminaire family, created using the same materials and principles of light distribution, organizes the space and complements it in a coherent way.
Within this proposal, the main luminaire is the one that defines the music area and accompanies the retro feeling associated with the last decades of the twentieth century. Through the use of mirrored bulbs combined with orange methacrylate, a warm atmosphere is created while introducing the concept of indirect lighting, allowing materials to behave as luminaires in themselves.
The family is composed of floor lamps, wall-mounted luminaires, and a suspended luminaire.
The table luminaires filter their light through an orange gel, referencing all the decorative luminaires proposed throughout the project.
Optics as a luminous brush
The perimeter of the space is drawn by a line of light integrated into the curtain track, acting as the priming layer of the canvas, from which the light brushstrokes unfold through a variation of optics. Wider optics are used for columns, shelving, and table areas, while very narrow optics, positioned above the bar, turn it into one of the luminous focal points of the space.
At this point, an infinity mirror is integrated, along with a rhythmic sequence of linear light accents that reinforce the directionality and dynamism of the project. Integrated lighting is projected onto surfaces, generating reflections that dialogue with an interior design rich in mirrors. At a lower level, a series of light beams adds visual rhythm, creating an additional layer within the composition.
The presence of AI in the design process
At Light&Studio, we understand that technology and new tools offer endless possibilities within the creative process. In this project, which reinterprets retro aesthetics through a contemporary lens, we decided to incorporate artificial intelligence as a supporting tool in the design process. In doing so, the concept of the space is reinforced and evoked, demonstrating how tradition and technology can coexist in balance.
