A sensory and photographic experience

Ikono is much more than a space: it’s an emotional journey where light, colour, andmateriality interact with fantasy. Each room has been conceived as a world of its own—a sensory landscape where the boundaries between the real and the dreamlike dissolve. Light& Studio’s intervention joins the work of Alejandra Pombo and Auna Producción &Interiorismo to weave a unique lighting narrative for this singular concept in Madrid.

Rainy Garden

Fully designed by Light & Studio, Rainy Garden offers a moment of stillness within the vibrant flow of the experience. A dark, silent room where nature becomes abstract, evocative, almost surreal. Here, visitors stop, breathe, listen to the sound of water, and witness a choreographed cascade of light droplets.

The effect is achieved through spheres suspended in a stretch mesh, programmed to light up and dim rhythmically from top to bottom, simulating the pull of gravity. The scene becomes an almost meditative experience, where sound, light, and movement reconnect us with a reimagined nature—artificial in construction, deeply emotional in impact.

Vivid Lounge

This space speaks in absolutes: colour, energy, excess. Every light source contributes to a full-spectrum chromatic display. Neon lines, colour bars, and structural elements weave together in a controlled visual chaos, a luminous choreography that turns the space into a lab of sensations. Immersive and unapologetic, it’s a celebration of light asa vital impulse

Chinese Lanterns

In this room, light becomes a tool of perception. Through the strategic use of reflections and mirrored surfaces, a floating, disoriented sensation is achieved. The lanterns multiply endlessly, reflecting in the surrounding mirrors, altering the spatial reading. Carefully controlled lighting intensity and rhythm create a subtle, hypnotic movement—a soft suspension between light planes where up and down blur into each other.

Red Bathrooms

An impactful visual space illuminated solely by red neon signs. In the spirit of urban expressionism, mirror panels multiply edges and reflections, producing a sense of visual vertigo. Here, light becomes a gesture, a pulse, a provocation. The space plunges us into disorder and unapologetic intensity—like a night in the heart of Shinjuku.

Infinity Mirrors

The final room offers a more abstract experience. Darkness dominates, broken only by scattered points of suspended light. These points are carefully arranged to create the illusion of constant motion—a visual reference to infinity that stimulates the senses and gently disorients. A space to get lost in and let go, where time dilutes and light becomes a quiet guide.
